As you enjoy a nice day on the Nanticoke Heritage Byway make sure to stop at the Bethel Museum. We have something great for everybody. Permanent maritime exhibits, two to three different visiting exhibits each year, a chance to buy a nice souvenir for a loved one and plenty of activities for your kids. And don't miss to enjoy a delightful walk through our lovely old town! Look at the old Victorian homes, built in the 1800s for the the ship captains.
The Bethel Heritage Museum is preserving the history of the maritime industry in this peaceful, small town on Broad Creek. Bethel was founded in 1795 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the only town in Delaware to be so designated in its entirety.
